Petr Jarchovský was born on 6.10.1966 in Prague. He belongs to our most successfull screenplay writers and he wrote topics for  very successfull movies such as “ Šakalí léta”, “ Pelíšky”, “ Musíme si pomáhat”, “ Želary”, “ Horem pádem”, “ Kawasakiho růže” or “ “Občanský průkaz”.Majority of his screenplays was transferred onto screen by his life–long friend Jan Hřebejk. We were interested how it works in tandem Jarchovský- Hřebejk  and how arises screenplay which receives award “ Český lev” or is nominated for Academy Award.

English actor Alan Rickman came as a guest to FebioFest to promote his latest film „ A little chaos“  which he directed. He is mostly known for his role in „Die Hard I“, „ Love actually: „Rasputin“ or „Harry Potter“. He also received  major price Kristian for contribution to world film.Alan looks distant but he can smile and also has a sence of humour so discussion with him wasn‘ t boring at all.

Another star guest of FebioFest was English director John Madden who brought here his current movie “Second Exotic Marigold Hotel”.He started his career in theatre and in independent  film and got Academy Award for his movie “ Shakespeare in love”.So we talked about the thorny way from bottom to the top.

Since he workd on several projects it was no mean feat to make him answer our questions but after  3months try, he did and we are grateful.

Mike Downey is one of the European’s leading and most active producer of independent film from UK.He was a guest of FebioFest and although we never heard about him before, we soon had nothing but admiration and praise for him and his work and attitude. Mike is very friendly and articulate person who speaks very clear English and makes sure every word is understanable and clear. He doesn’ t beat about the bush, once the question is placed, without a second of hesitation he answers matter-of- factly with humor underneath it, so whole interview was very funny and full of laugh. You can ask him about everything and he always has a good reply. When asked what his political orientation is, he said with laugh that he is “champagne socialist”.
